Please read the programme and local priorities and the information for applicants. You will need to check that the project falls within the EPIP LEADER area (please contact the office if you are unsure).
If your project fits with the programme priorities please contact the Programme Manager or complete a project outline form to ensure that the project is eligible before completing an Outline Application Form.
If your project is eligible for LEADER funding, the Programme Manager will forward an Outline Application Form for completion. This form is the first stage of the application process to give an overview of your project idea. The Programme Manager can provide assistance with completion as required.
Once received, the Outline Application will be checked for eligibility and completeness and feedback will be given.
If the Outline Application is approved, the Programme Officer will contact you and will provide you with the Full Application Form (assistance completing this form will be provided as required).
You will be given a deadline to return the completed Full Application along with supporting documents and quotations for project expenditure.
You must also have an SBI (Single Business Identifier) number from the Rural Payments Agency (RPA). If you don't already have one of these, you must register with the RPA https://www.gov.uk/claim-rural-payments.
When the full application is received both electronically and hard copy, you will be given a timescale for assessment.
The application will then be appraised independently and will be discussed at the next available decision making (Local Action Group) meeting. Project applicants may be asked to attend the meeting to present the project or to give further information.
Once approved, a contract will be issued (please note that any expenditure incurred before the contract has been signed will not be eligible).
