The East Peak Innovation Partnership was established in 2008 and links together three similar areas covering Penistone and District, North Sheffield and the parishes of Denby Dale and Kirkburton. The Partnership was established to deliver a LEADER bottom up, community led approach to rural development. A five year development plan was completed and approved by Yorkshire Forward in the summer of 2008.
“Liaison entre actions de dévelopement de l’économie rurale”
LEADER stands for “Links between Actions of Rural Development” and therefore promotes co-operation and integration that permeates through the funding criteria i.e.:
The LEADER approach recognises that rural communities themselves are best placed to identify their needs and, by working together, they can find innovative solutions and achieve real and lasting changes.
